Class of 1959
by Pat Thompson Cox
July 10-12 proved to be a whirlwind weekend, but the Class of
1959 enjoyed every event. Our 50th reunion got off to a
roaring start as we renewed friendships at a Friday evening open
house hosted by Clyde and Peggy Spencer. Being the last class
to graduate from the old GHS building, we were astonished at
the transformation into Spring Street Square condominiums during our
Saturday morning tour. A record number of classmates (61) and their
guests gathered Saturday evening at the Elks Club. In addition
to a class picture and delicious meal, we reviewed a video of our
high school years.
The highlight of the
evening was a memories-sharing program. Featured guest and
former teacher Mike Tzouanakis entertained us with stories about
when some of us were in his fifth-grade class. A Sunday brunch
at Putnam Inn concluded a memorable, fun-filled reunion.

Class of 1964
The Class of 1964

The Greencastle Alumni Association in Conjunction
with the Greencastle National Guard Armory held it's first pancake supper
Thursday, October 1, 2009. It was a successful effort to find new ways to
raise money for our scholarship funds.
"We served about 150 people," Steve McMains said.
One half of the proceeds for the event went to the
National Guard Family Readiness program. The Armory additionally provided the
place for the supper.
